WHAT:????The 9th Annual Stoney & Wojo Radiothon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

A 28-hour, live broadcast during which services, merchandise and sports memorabilia are auctioned off to raise money to find a cure for blood cancers (pledges are also encouraged).

WHO:????WDFN Sports Radio personalities Stoney (Mike Stone) & Wojo (Bob Wojnowski) host the event throughout its entire 28-hours.

WHEN:????Thursday, July 13, 2006 starting at 3:00 p.m.; ending on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: ????O’Toole’s Cass Lake. Located at 4000 Cass Elizabeth Rd.; Waterford, Mich. South of Elizabeth Lake Rd, West of Cass Lake Rd.

WHY:????Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under 20. 750,000 Americans and 23,000 Michigan residents are currently living with leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. Blood cancers will strike an estimated 120,000 Americans and over 60,000 will lose their battle with these diseases this year.
