NEW YORK (AP) ? "Mad Men" ? the TV drama that looks back to the 1960s ? is looking ahead to a possibly record bounty at the Emmys.
The show earned a leading 17 Emmy nominations Thursday and the chance at a fifth best-drama award, which would make it the most-honored show of its type in television history.
The shows it's currently tied with? "Hill Street Blues," ''L.A. Law" and "The West Wing."
"Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, who hasn't shared in his show's string of wins, will get a fifth shot at a lead actor Emmy when the ceremony airs Sept. 23.
