SMARTCOM ANNOUNCES BRYANT BUTLER AS VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

SMARTCom, Inc., a leading provider of economical cellular connectivity products and services focused on M2M, has announced the appointment of Bryant Butler as the Vice President of Business Development. In this role, Bryant will focus on activities supporting deliverables in new markets; increase brand awareness, foster and establish new partnerships and customers, identify new product opportunities, and drive/deliver opportunities for new revenue streams.

Bryant brings over 16 years of sales and engineering experience to this new role at SMARTCom. Bryant most recently worked as a Business Development Executive for Tridium. During his seven years with Tridium, he focused on expanding BAS integration and distribution partners as well as penetrating and developing new markets for Tridium; emphasizing in areas involving intelligent device management (M2M) in the government, medical and retail market segments. Prior to Tridium, Bryant worked in the industrial automation industry as a Sales Engineer with Cross Automation. He also worked for Intel Corporation and Mitsubishi North American Semiconductor. Bryant served 7 years as a Naval Aviator in the United States Navy.

Bryant graduated from Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and received his M.S. in Management from Troy State University.
